Stewart “Pete” Pederson, age 74, of Ramona, died Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Mass of Christian Burial was held on August 14 with burial at St. Williams Cemetery, Ramona. On-line condolences may be left at the Weiland Funeral Home website.

Stewart Carl Pederson was born October 29, 1942 in Dell Rapids, SD the son of Talmer & Gladys (Stewart) Pederson. As a young boy, he moved to Madison, SD and graduated from Madison Central High School in 1960. On February 10, 1968 he married Susan O’Hara in Sioux Falls.For many years, he was an appliance repairman and installed floorcovering. With his years of experience, Pete decided to venture out on his own and bought a floorcovering business in Madison. For over 20 years, he owned and operated his business which everyone knows as Eddie’s Carpetland.

Pete is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sue of Ramona; daughter, Angie (Kevin) Wolter of St. Paul, MN; son, Andy of Dell Rapids, SD; four grandchildren, Cody & Samantha Smith both of St. Paul, Jacob Pederson of Sioux Falls and Onna Pederson of Howard, SD; sister, Joy Budde of Yankton, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents & father-in-law, S. John O’Hara.
