After selling items as a vendor in another downtown Dell Rapids store, JR’s Alterations & Crafts held a ribbon cutting and open house to officially open up their own storefront on Friday, November 17th.  JR’s Alterations & Crafts is open in downtown Dell Rapids at 414 E. 4th St.  The store held a grand opening on Wednesday, November 1st.

The owner of JR’s Alterations & Crafts, Janet DeGraw, has sold items in Dell Rapids for quite some time.  DeGraw was a vendor with Alliecat Creations for a year before moving to their own space.  DeGraw had also attended a few craft shows in Dell Rapids over the years as well.

JR’s Alterations & Crafts provides clothing alterations and repair as well as sells a variety of arts and crafts items.  They also plan on hosting some arts and crafts events.

DeGraw announced extended holiday hours on their Facebook page.  Starting on Monday, November 20th, they play to be open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays ending on December 23rd.  The store will be closed on Thanksgiving Day as well as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  Regular store hours in Dell Rapids will be 10:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Saturday hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
