Randy Nelson

Randy Eugene Nelson, 64, of Trent, SD passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at his home.

Funeral services will be at a later date.  Condolences may be left at www.minnehahafuneralhome.com.

Randy was born June 28, 1951 in Dell Rapids to parents Richard and June (Swanson) Nelson. He received his education in Trent and Dell Rapids. He worked for area farmers for many years. Grateful for having shared his life are his brothers, Dicky (Kathy), Steve and Phil Nelson; nine nieces and nephews as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and uncles, Willie and Bernard.

Richard Nelson

Richard NelsonRichard Nelson, 90, of Trent passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Dells Nursing and Rehab Center.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 27th, 2015 at Trent Baptist Church, Trent, SD. A private burial will follow at a later date at Nelson Cemetery, rural Trent. Condolences may be left at www.minnehahafuneralhome.com.

Richard Charles Nelson was born April 18th, 1925 in rural Moody County to parents Chris and Ella (Anderson) Nelson. He grew up on the family farm and attended the Nelson Country School, in Moody County. He joined the Army April 24, 1945 and was stationed in Japan. Richard married June Swanson February 14, 1947. He took over the family farm until 1978, at which time he moved to Trent. Richard owned his own furniture making and lawn mower repair business. He made furniture for 5 years and then focused solely on lawn mower repair for over 25 years.

Grateful for having shared his life are his sons, Dicky (Kathy) Nelson, Artesian; Randy Nelson, Trent; Steve Nelson and Phil Nelson; 9 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, June; brothers, Willie Nelson and Bernard Nelson and great- grandson, Landon Nelson.
