David A. Artko

David ArtkoDavid A. Artko, age 82, died a Doughtery Hospice House in Sioux Falls on November 10, 2014.

He was born on December 25, 1931 at Chicago, IL to Felix and Joanne (Zelinsky) Artko. He married Sue Anne Douglas at Glendale, CA on September 2, 1973.  He is survived by his wife – Sue Anne of Chester. Two daughters -Athena Garner and Phaedra Snow both of Gridley, CA four grandchildren Jasmine, Cassandra, Adrianna, Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a son – Joshua in 2003.

He was on the board of directors of the Dell Rapids Hospital, Sioux Valley Electric and DSU Foundation.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at St Joseph the Workman Church, Huntimer Township. Burial with military honors will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.

There will be a parish scripture service at 7:00 PM on Wednesday at St Joseph The Workman church. Weiland Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. To leave a message of sympathy visit: www.weilandfuneralchapel.com.
