Brittany Marie Nelson, 22, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Flandreau. She was born July 14, 1992, in Flandreau, SD. She graduated from Flandreau High School in 2010. Brittany worked at Royal River Casino as a waitress and later as a Players Club Representative. She currently worked at Casey’s Convenience Store in Dell Rapids. Brittany enjoyed music, friends, writing poetry, joking around and having a good time and spending special time with Kayden.

Brittany is survived by her son Kayden, parents, Brenda and Dale Kroeger, sister Melissa McMahon, Sioux Falls, Grandma Carolyn McMahon and Grandma Carol Kroeger, both of Flandreau, three aunts, Pamela (Loren) Hillstrom, Jamestown, ND, Linda (Glen) VanDyke, Billings, MT, Lori Kroeger, Sioux Falls, special friend Zach, father Kelley Nelson, Oklahoma and many other cousins and family members. Brittany was preceded in death by her brother Chris, Grandpa Loren McMahon and Grandpa Tom Kroeger.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with burial in Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral chapel. Condolences may be left at www.skrochfc.com

Christopher Nelson, 24, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at his home. Christopher was born on August 10, 1989, in Dell Rapids, SD. He grew up in Flandreau, SD and attended school in Flandreau. After school he moved to Jamestown, ND where he received his GED and built grain bins. He later moved back to Flandreau and worked at Royal River Casino as a Security Guard. Chris loved fishing, drawing, and listening to music.

Chris is survived by his parents, Brenda and Dale Kroeger, two sisters, Melissa McMahon, Sioux Falls, Brittany Nelson, Dell Rapids, one nephew, Kayden Nelson, Grandma Carolyn McMahon and Grandma Carol Kroeger, both from Flandreau, three Aunts Pamela (Loren) Hillstrom, Jamestown, ND, Linda (Glen) VanDyke, Billings, MT, Lori Kroeger, Sioux Falls, special friend, Nina, father Kelley Nelson, and many other cousins and family members. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Loren McMahon and Grandpa Tom Kroeger.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Skroch Funeral Chapel, with burial at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Cemetery, Flandreau, SD. Visitation is from 4:00 – 7:00 pm Friday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
