Stephanie Jo Thompson

Stephanie Jo ThompsonStephanie Jo Thompson, 32, of Dell Rapids, SD, passed away on September 29, 2013 after a fatal car accident. She was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Dale Hoefert and Kimberly (Barkley) Hoefert on August 21, 1981. She attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1999.

Stephanie has four children: Haden (13), Aubri (11), Mason (9), and Logan (7). She loved motherhood and did everything she could to make their time together memorable. They enjoyed watching many kinds of movies and playing games, and she never forgot the ice cream. She and her fiancé, Derek Weston, were looking forward to and planning their future together.

Stephanie is survived by her four children: Haden, Aubri, Mason, and Logan; her father, Dale (Sharon) Hoefert; one brother, Nick (Brianna) Hoefert; two nieces, Makayla and Jaelyn; her paternal grandparents, Leroy (Donna) Hoefert; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her fiancé, Derek Weston; her mother, Kimberly (Barkley) Hoefert, and maternal grandmother, Mary (Streetman) Marshall.

Her beautiful smile and zeal for life will be celebrated on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 10:30 am at Miller Funeral Home at 507 South Main Avenue in Sioux Falls, SD. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 3, 2013, beginning at 3:00 pm, with the family present from 5:00-7:00 pm, also at Miller Funeral Home.
