Norman F. Wuebben, 77, died Saturday, March 9, 2013 of an apparent heart attack. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday, March 14 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Sioux Falls. Visitation begins at 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 13 at George Boom Funeral Home, Sioux Falls, where the family will greet friends starting at 5:00 PM and a Liturgical Wake Service and Holy Rosary begins at 6:00 PM.
Norman Fredrick Wuebben, son of Fred and Evelyn (Becker) Wuebben, was born November 25, 1935 in Wynot, NE. After graduating from Wynot High School, he moved to South Dakota and farmed in the Humboldt and Montrose area.
Norm was united in marriage with Pat Myers on May 13, 1972 in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls. Norm began work as a brick tender and later became a union bricklayer. He retired in 1997.
Norm enjoyed turkey hunting, fishing, Western movies, feeding his birds and helping others with various projects. He also enjoyed gardening and sharing his produce with many friends and charities.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Pat; seven siblings, Maurice Wuebben and his wife, Diane, Wynot, NE, Claude Wuebben and his wife, Carolyn, Hubbard, TX, Donalda Kolbeck and her husband, Gene, Dell Rapids, SD, Chuck Wuebben and his wife, Phyllis, Danville, IL, Audrey Cleveland and her husband, Bob, Montrose, SD, Ron Wuebben and his wife, Mary, Sioux Falls, SD, Clair Wuebben and his wife, Diann, Sioux Falls, SD; a brother-in-law, Dewey Becker of Wynot, NE; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
