Marjorie Lois Croisant-Hoines-Viereck, of Dell Rapids, was excited to see Jesus on August 7, 2013 at the age of 71 after a short stay at the Sanford Hospice in Sioux Falls. Her peaceful death began with the failure of her kidneys which was preceded by many years of health complications.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Minnehaha Funeral Home Chapel in Dell Rapids. Burial will be in the Ramona Protestant Cemetery, Ramona, SD.
Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at Minnehaha Funeral Home in Dell Rapids.
Marge was born June 20, 1942 in Madison, South Dakota. She grew up with her two parents and six siblings in Ramona, attending a one-room school house, and graduated from Madison High School. On June 30, 1962 Marge married Magnus C. Hoines. She raised her five children in Hartford, South Dakota where she owned the B&E Cafe. On September 6, 1975 Marge married Donald Viereck. Later, she lived in Sioux Falls, working at Walmart and then retired in Dell Rapids. Marge enjoyed playing Pitch and Keno, having coffee with friends, and reading.
Thankful to God for sharing her life are her sisters, Lila (Mel) Folz, Carol (Ed Miller) VonBehren-Miller, Judy (Harley) Englebrecht; brothers, David (Barb) Croisant and James (Debra) Croissant; children, Mark (Machelle) Hoines of Yankton, Machelle (David) Koch of Sioux Falls, LtCol Mitchell Hoines (Cindy Jorgensen) of Kansas, Marnie (Craig) Hansen of Dell Rapids and Mary Ashmore of Tea. Marge had 12 grandchildren.
