Marcie Mailey Ljunggren

Marcie A. Mailey was born on March 7, 1955 with her twin brother, Mark to her parents, Jack and June Mailey in Dell Rapids, SD. She grew up and attended school in Dell Rapids. She graduated from Dell Rapids High School in 1973. She married her high school sweetheart, Gale Ljunggren on July 7, 1973. The couple made their home in Dell Rapids and have continued to live there since that time. Marcie worked for Smith Publishing Inc. from 1973-1979. She then worked for the Dell Rapids Medical Clinic until transferring down to Avera Health in 1992 working in the ITC. She worked there until the time of her death.

Marcie was a member of the United Methodist Church, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family who were the joy of her life. She loved to crochet and cross stitch which she made many gifts for family, friends and co-workers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gale of Dell Rapids; her two sons, Jason (Tiffany) Ljunggren of Tea and Joshua (Bobbie) Ljunggren of Battlefield, MO; her parents, Jack and June Mailey of Dell Rapids; her parents-in-law, Don and Shirley Ljunggren of Dell Rapids; her brother, Marshall (Denise) Mailey of Dell Rapids, her two brothers-in-law, Alan (Linda) Ljunggren of Dell Rapids and Gary (Chris) Ljunggren of Billings, MT; her two sisters-in-law, Sherri (Jay) Linnemann and Shirlette Ljunggren of Dell Rapids; her five grandchildren, Koby, Xaviera and Jack of Battlefield, MO and Troy and Kiarra of Sioux Falls; special friends, Bob and Sheila Gunderson along with a hosts of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie (Dawn) Muhs; her twin brother, Mark Mailey, paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Eula Mailey, maternal grandparents, David and Agnes Vaselaar and nephews, Jeremiah Mailey and infant, Tucker James Muhs.
