Jessica Rose Dooley, 33, Kimball, died on Oct. 18, 2013, in Madison after a 21-year battle with bipolar disorder.
Dooley was born on Oct. 23, 1979, at Madison to Van David Dooley and Pamela (Williams) Dooley. She attended school and lived in Madison until age 16. In 1996, she moved to Kimball. She married Andrew Allen. She earned her bachelor of science degree in psychology and sociology from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell and was currently an honor student working toward her master’s degree in psychology through Capella University.
Survivors include two daughters, Willow Allen and Cloey Dooley, both of Kimball; her mother and stepfather, Pamela and Dennis Hallman of Kimball; her father and stepmother, Van David and Linda Dooley of Houston, Texas; a half-brother, Travis Dooley; five stepsiblings, Travis, Tina, Mandy, Lisa and Sandy; three uncles, Joel (Peggy) Williams of Pierre, Aaron (Bobbie Lynn) Williams of Dell Rapids, and Jessie (Kathy) Arguello of Black Hawk; an aunt, Vonda (Steve) Ponto of Watertown; two great-aunts, Fern (Lee) Anderson of Worthington, Minn., and Ruth Williams of Madison; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; stepgrandparents; several aunts and uncles.
Memorial services were held on Oct. 23 at Kimball Protestant Parish with The Rev. Laurie Kidd officiating. Soloist was Aaron Williams and organist was Luann Heath.
Honorary casketbearers were Cody, Joshua, Isaac, Sutton and Silas Williams, and Stephan, Casey and Cameron Paul.
Memorials may be directed to a trust fund to be established for her children.
