The Dell Rapids High School Jazz Ensemble participated at the SDSU/Brookings Optimist Jazz Festival in Brookings Thursday, April 4th. The group received 2nd Place in Class A competition. They also received “Outstanding Trumpet Section” and “Outstanding Rhythm Section” awards for their performance. Jayme Damm and Zane Lodmell also received “Outstanding Soloist” awards.
