The Dell Rapids Chamber of Commerce held their annual banquet on Saturday, February 22nd, at the Grand Opera House in Dell Rapids. The social hour started at 6:00 p.m. and the dinner followed at 7:00 p.m. During the annual banquet, the Chamber of Commerce handed out two annual awards. One of the awards for 2013 Volunteers of the Year. That award went to the Storehouse Community Food Pantry. The other award given out during the evening was the 2013 Chamber Business of the Year. That award went to County Fair Foods.
After the dinner and awards presentations, those attending the banquet were treated to a special presentation. Holly Hoffman, a contestant on Survivor: Nicaragua in 2010, shared her presentation ” Never Give Up, The Survivor Way”. During her presentation, Hoffman shared with those in attendance to take opportunities when they are presented. Hoffman also shared that we can overcome the struggles of today’s world and 
have a more fulfilled life with a positive attitude, determination, confidence, desire, faith, and perseverance.
Hoffman ended the night by visiting and answering questions from those in attendance and sharing more stories about her time on Survivor: Nicaragua.
