Gerald “Jerry” Hallem, 75, of Dell Rapids died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at the Dougherty Hospice House.

Gerald Gene Hallem was born January 27, 1939 in Dell Rapids to parents Raymond and Clara (Opien) Hallem. He grew up in Dell Rapids and attended school there. After his education he worked for Park’s Meat Locker for many years. He then started Jerry’s Handy Man Service in Dell Rapids until his retirement.
Jerry Enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a life time member of the Dell Rapids Sportsman Club, where he volunteered many hours of labor for the club.
Grateful for having shared his life are his siblings, James Hallem, Dell Rapids; Donald (Janis) Hallem, Las Cruces, NM; Carol Tommeraasen, Baltic; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brothers, Clarence and Stanley and brothers, Marvin, Roy, his twin Derald and a brother in law, Larry Tommeraasen.
