Prices have steadily dropped throughout the past month. According to GasBuddy.com, the Sioux Falls area had an average price of $2.31 per gallon a month ago. The price was $2.05 a week ago. Currently the average price for a gallon of gas in the Sioux Falls area is $1.85. The current average is almost a dollar less than a year ago. At this time last year, the average price was $2.67.
The average price for the state of South Dakota is currently $2.12. The national average is $2.11 according to GasBuddy.com
