A third quarter difference of 12 points led the De Smet Bulldog boys to a win over Lower Brule at the Hanson Classic on Saturday, January 21st. The Bulldogs took the victory 61-53.
Lower Brule took a 20-15 lead into the second quarter. They extended that lead to 11 points with 3:54 to play in the quarter. De Smet cut the lead to 36-30 by halftime. The Bulldogs then outscored Lower Brule 17-5 in the third quarter for a 47-41 lead. De Smet maintained that lead in the fourth quarter for the win.
The Bulldogs shot 42% (24-57) for the game, 32% (8-25) from three-point area, and 33% (5-15) from the free-throw line.
Damon Wilkinson had 19 points and 17 rebounds. Kadyn Fast added 14 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. George Jensen added 11 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Kasen Janssen also had 11 points and three rebounds.
