The De Smet Bulldog track teams competed in the Bruce-Hopfinger Relays held by Sioux Valley High School in Volga on Tuesday, April 9th. The girls team finished fifth with 73 points, and the boys team was sixth with 47 points.
Hazel Luethmers won the high jump and also placed second in the 400m dash. Audi Currier finished second in the discus and fiifth in the shot put. Ivey Schoenfelder placed third in the shot put and fourth in the discus. Mirra Beck was fifth in the 300m hurdles and fifth in the high jump. The 4x800m relay team of Aubree Blue, Charlotte FIelds, Megan Dylla, and Bella Wilkinson took third. The 1600m sprint medley relay team of Gemma Luethmers, Fields, Charli McCune, and Wilkinson also finished third. The 4x400m relay team of Fields, Beck, McCune, and H. Luethmers placed fourth.
Ganon Henrich took third in the 100m dash, fifth in the 200m dash, and fifth in the 400m dash. Melville Deloye placed third in the triple jump and fourth in the high jump. Grant Wilkinson finished fifth in the shot put. Samuel Gigov was fifth in the discus. Kadyn Fast finshed fifth in the javelin and triple jump.
