The De Smet Bulldog boys hosted the Arlington Cardinals in the opening round of the Region 2B tournament on Tuesday, February 27th. The Bulldogs cruised to a 72-34 victory.
De Smet built a big lead in the first quarter and never looked back. The defense was able to hold the Cardinals to 11 points or less in each of the fourth quarters. The Bulldogs led 28-8 at the end of the first quarter. The lead grew to 43-19 halftime and 60-27 heading into the fourth quarter.
Tom Aughenbaugh had 21 points and three steals. Kadyn Fast finished with 10 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Grant Wilkinson added eight points and six rebounds. Tristan Olson also had eight points. George Jensen ended with seven points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
