The De Smet Bulldog boys basketball team finished their 2023-2024 regular season with a big road win against the Oldham-Ramona-Rutland Raiders 70-34 on Friday, February 16th. The win was the eighth in a row for the Bulldogs.
De Smet took control early in the game. They built a 22-11 lead by the end of the first quarter. The lead was only nine points, 27-18, with 5:45 to go in the second quarter. The Bulldogs finished the first half on a 15-2 run for a 42-20 lead at halftime. They continued to cruise in the second half outscoring the Raiders 18-6 in the third quarter and 10-8 in the fourth quarter.
Grant Wilkinson had 19 points and five rebounds. Britt Carlson finished with 15 points and six rebounds. Trace Van Regenmorter added 12 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Tom Aughenbaugh had 11 points and three rebounds.
