Strong Defense Key to Win for De Smet Boys

The De Smet Bulldogs used a strong defensive effort in their win over the Flandreau Fliers on Tuesday, February 6th.  The Bulldogs held Flandreau to under 30 points in their 50-29 victory.

Flandreau was only able to score single digits in each of the four quarters.  De Smet led by just four points, 13-9, at the end of the first quarter.  They extended that lead to 29-13 by halftime.  The strong defensive effort carried into the second half.  The Bulldogs extended their lead to 43-22 going into the fourth quarter.

Kadyn Fast had a team-high 14 points with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Grant Wilkinson had 10 points and nine rebounds.  Tom Aughenbaugh also finished with 10 points.  Britt Carlson had six points.  Trace Van Regenmorter ended with five points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  George Jensen also had five points along with three rebounds.
