The De Smet Bulldog boys hosted the Elkton-Lake Benton Elks and cruised to their third straight victory. The Bulldogs defeated the Elks 65-24.
De Smet built a double-digit lead by the end of the first quarter, 19-7. They extended their lead with a big second quarter and led 41-19 going into halftime. The defense locked down the Elks in the second half and held them to a total of just five points while scoring 24 themselves.
Three players finished in double figures. Tom Aughenbaugh had 12 points, three rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Grant Wilkinson had 10 points and eight rebounds. Britt Carlson also had 10 points with four rebounds and three assists. George Jensen added nine points and seven rebounds. Trace Van Regenmorter also had nine points with five rebounds and two assists. Kadyn Fast ended with seven points and five assists.
