The Knights wrestling team hosted the Kingsbury Country Invitational on Saturday, January 20th. The boys team finished second with a total of 195.5 points. The girls team had 4.0 team points.
For the boys team, Gannon Gilligan took the top spot in the 126-pound class with a 3-0 record. Gonner Giedd won the 138-pound division with a 2-0 record. Connor Johnson placed first in the 215-pound division with a 3-0 record.
Kaleb Johnson (150) finished third with a 3-1 record. Cody Zell (120) took fourth with a 2-2 record. Sheldon Balderston (157) was fourth with a 2-2 record. Breyten Johnson (190) also placed fourth with a 2-2 record. Caden Signrey (113) had a fifth-place finish with a 3-2 record. Greyson Nielson (132) placed fifth with a 3-2 record. Marshall Holz (175) was also fifth with a 4-2 record. Chase Henriksen (106) finished sixth with a 3-3 record. Rogan Albrecht (120) was sixth with a 3-3 record.
Karsten Lerwick (106), Lane Albrecht (132), Sutton Murphy (132), and Deion Harris (165) all had two wins each. Liam Gunnon (150) had one win. Daltin Coughlin (106), Noah Vig (126), Lane Jensen (138), Kahne Hanson (150), Juan Gutierrez (157), and Same Crowe (215) also took part in the tournament.
For the girls team, Jaylynn Johnson placed fourth with an 0-3 record. Jaidynn Giedd finished with an 0-2 record.
