Fourth Quarter Surge Lifts Tea Past Bulldogs

The De Smet Bulldogs (13-3) led at the end of the first three quarter breaks at the Pentagon Classic on Saturday, February 4th.  The Titans put together a fourth-quarter rally to beat the Bulldogs 67-60.

The Bulldogs held their largest lead of the game, six points, with 3:48 to play in the first quarter.  They led 16-15 at the end of the first quarter and then 27-23 at halftime.  Both teams scored 19 points each in the third quarter, and De Smet led 46-42 heading into the final quarter.  The Titans outscored the Bulldogs 25-14 in the fourth quarter to take the win.

De Smet shot 41% (17-42) from the field overall, 39% (7-18) on three-point attempts, and 76% (19-25) from the free-throw line.  Tea shot 48% (24-50) overall, 33% (5-15) from three-point area, and 74% (14-19) from the free-throw line.

Damon Wilkinson had 25 points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Kasen Janssen added 12 points, four rebounds, and four assists.  George Jensen had 10 poitns, six rebounds, and two blocks.  Tom Augenbaugh also had 10 points.  Kadyn Fast ended with six rebounds and six assists.
