Damon Wilkinson had a monster game against the Elkton-Lake Benton Elks on Thursday, February 2nd. His 37 points put him over the the 1,000 point mark for his career in the 80-62 victory.
The Elks kept pace with the Bulldogs throughout the first half. De Smet led 19-15 at the end of the first quarter and only 35-32 at halftime. The Bulldogs got on a roll in the third quarter offensively, scoring 29 points, and took a 64-50 lead into the fourth quarter. De Smet shot 51% (29-57) overall, 22% (4-18) from three-point area, and 75% (18-24) from the free-throw line.
Along with his 37 points in the game, Wilkinson also had 17 rebounds and three steals. Kasen Janssen had 12 points, two rebounds, and six assists. Kadyn Fast also had 12 points and two rebounds with four steals. George Jensen finished with 10 points and six assists.
