De Smet Boys Blow Past Colman-Egan

The De Smet Bulldogs (12-2) had no trouble with the Colman-Egan Hawks on Friday, January 27th.  The Bulldogs won 88-21.

De Smet wasted no time in getting a big lead.  They led 23-5 at the end of the first quarter.  The Bulldogs continued to roll from there and 41-9 at halftime and 71-16 at the end of the third quarter.  De Smet shot 57% (36-63) from the field overall, 31% (4-13) from three-point area, and a perfect 12-12 from the free-throw line.  The Hawks shot just 17% (8-46) from the field, 14% (3-21) on three-point attempts, and 3-6 from the free-throw line.

Five players finished in double figures.  Damon Wilkinson had 22 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.  Kasen Janssen had 16 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Trace Van Regenmorter added 14 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.  Kadyn Fast ended with 12 points, six rebounds, and four assists.  Tom Aughenbaugh also had 12 points with two rebounds and three assists.
