The Dell Rapids Veteran’s Memorial Park had a new statue installed on Wednesday, November 1st. The new sculpture to the park was installed about 1:00 p.m. The new sculpture is the Korean War sculpture. The sculpture joins the Old Soldier’s Monument, the Fallen Soldier monument, the Revolutionary War, and the Gulf War.
Earlier in the year, Dell Rapids Veteran’s Memorial Park had the Blue Star Memorial marker dedicated. That dedication took place on Saturday, April 22nd.
Plans are still in place to add sculptures for World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War, and Enduring Freedom memorial.
