The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinals (13-2) dropped in 15 three-point shots in their 86-46 win over the Iroquois/Lake Preston Sharks on Thursday, February 2nd. St Mary made 54% of their three-point shots in the game.
Not only did the Cardinals shoot 54% (15-28) from three-point area, they shot 54% (31-57) overall and 69% (9-13) from the free-throw line. The Sharks finished the game shooting just 25% (14-56) overall, 20% (4-20) from three-point area, and 78% (14-18) from the free-throw line.
The Cardinals had a 27-13 lead at the end of the first quarter and pushed that lead to 42-19 by halftime. St Mary continued their hot offensive game in the second half. They outscored the Sharks 29-17 in the third quarter and 15-10 in the fourth quarter.
Ella Griffin finished with 28 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Whitney Warwick had 17 points. Madala Hanson ended with 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Sierra Klein and Stephanie Geraets had five points each. Sydney Klein added four points, seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Maya Heinitz also had four points, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals.
