Both the St Mary girls and boys track teams had fifth-place finishes at the Chester Invitational on Tuesday, April 15th. The girls team finished with 83 points, and the boys team had 80 points.
Maddyn LeBrun won the discus with a throw of 120’0″ and finished second in the javelin at 109’2″. Lucy Vargas was second in the 3200m run with a time of 14:28.58. Emersyn Herber was fourth in the 100m dash in :14.19 and was fifth in the 200m dash at a time of :28.86. Reagan Griffin placed fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 29’8″. Megan Geraets was fifth in the shot put (30’9″) and fifth in the high jump (4’2″). The 4x100m relay team of LeBrun, Addison Libis, Griffin, and Herber placed fifth with a time of :54.72.
The sprint medley relay team of Lincoln LeBrun, Logan Bauer, Jaxon Baumberger, and Jacob Flemmer took the top spot with a time of 3:57.16. Josh Liebl was second in the long jump at 18’1.5″. The 4x400m relay team of Thomas LaVoy, Jake Heinitz, Baumberger, and Pano Skliris was second in 3:41.10. The 4x800m relay team of Flemmer, Matt Heinemann, Cooper Libis, and Kade Lutt also placed second in a time of 9:23.45. Gavin Pica placed third in the discus with a throw of 125’9″. Baumberger took third in the high jump at 5’10”. The 4x100m relay team of LaVoy, Heinitz, LeBrun, and Bauer was third in a time of :46.16. Jake Kopsas placed fourth in the high jump at 5’8″. Colter Griffin was fourth in the 300m hurdles in a time of :49.69. The 4x200m relay team of Isaac Griffin, Isaac Ahlers, C. Griffin, and Skliris was fifth in a time of 1:44.75.
