Cardinal Girls End Regular Season with Win in Baltic

The St Mary’s Cardinal girls ended their regular season with a 57-27 win in Baltic on Friday, February 20th.

The Cardinals built a 15-8 lead by the end of the first quarter.  The Bulldogs got within five points, 19-14, with 4:15 to play in the second quarter.  The Cardinals finished the quarter on a 7-2 run to extend their lead to 26-16.  St Mary’s would hold Baltic to just 11 points in the second half while putting 31 points on the board.

St Mary was 48% (21-44) shooting overall, 24% (4-17) from three-point area, and 61% (11-18) from the free-throw line.  Baltic shot 24% (10-42) overall from the field, 21% (6-28) on three-point shots, and 1-6 from the free-throw line.

Maddyn LeBrun finished with 20 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Sophia McNaughton added 11 points and two rebounds.  Madelyn Klein ended with seven points and six rebounds.  Stephenie Geraets had six points, four rebounds, and three steals.
