Complete Team Effort for St Mary Girls in Win over Raiders

Ten different players recorded at least a rebound, steal, or assist and nine players scored for the St Mary Cardinals in their 65-22 win over the Oldham-Ramona-Rutland Raiders in Rutland on Friday, January 16th.

The Cardinals put 31 points on the board and built a 21-point lead, 31-10, by the end of the first quarter.  They would be on cruise control from that point forward.  St Mary was able to extend their lead to 48-15 by halftime.  The the third quarter ended with a 56-22 lead for the Cardinals.

St Mary shot 41% (24-59) from the field overall, 32% (6-19) on three-point shots, and 50% (11-22) from the free-throw line.  Oldham-Ramona-Rutland was 23% (8-35) shooting overall, 16% (3-19) on three-point attempts, and 3-4 from the free-throw line.

Sophia McNaughton had 13 points, three rebounds, and three steals.  Stephenie Geraets added 12 points, five rebounds, five steals, and three assists.  Harper Werdel had eight points, five rebounds, five steals, and three assists.  Layla Joe Hanson ended with eight points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Madelyn Klein also had eight points with two rebounds, and two steals.  Maddyn LeBrun had seven points, four rebound, and four assists.
