The St Mary Cardinals got back into the win column after winning the “Battle of the Cardinals” in Arlington on Monday, February 10th. St Mary pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 73-58 win.
The first quarter was played close, and St Mary held an 18-14 lead at the end of the quarter. The lead for St Mary grew to seven points, 31-24, by halftime. The two teams battled tough in the third quarter, but St Mary was able to maintain their lead. St Mary led 46-37 going into the fourth quarter. Both offenses scored over 20 points in the final quarter, but St Mary had a 27-21 advantage to take the 73-58 win.
Madala Hanson had a big game with 38 points and three rebounds. During the game Hanson scored her 1,000 career point. Jenna Miller finished with 16 points, six steals, three assists, and two rebounds. Brianna Griffin added seven points, three rebounds, and three assists. Maddyn LeBrun had six points, eight rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Addison Libis ended with four points and four assists.
