The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal cross country teams had their first meet of the season at the McCook Central/Montrose Invite in Salem on Tuesday, September 3rd. The girls team finished third with 27 points and had three top 15 finishers. They boys team did not have a team score.
Elizabeth Vogel placed fifth with a time of 22:18.33. Cami Wolles was 14th in a time of 23:11.11. Madison Reiff finished 15th with a time of 23:12.59. Paige Deuter (27th) completed in 25:00.07, and Lucy Vargas (28th) had a time of 25:05.58.
For the boys team, Matthew Heinemann (37th) finished in a time of 21:17.03. Levi Gaul (45th) had a time of 22:04.70.
