The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal track team took part in the Chester Track Meet on Tuesday, April 9th. The girls team finished third with 91.5 points. The boys team took ninth with 27 points.
Brianna Griffin won the 400m dash in 1:04.70 and took fifth in the 200m dash in a time of :28.03. Elizabeth Vogel won the 3200m run in 13:00.98. Jaycee Tebay won the discus at 113’9″, took second in the javelin at 96’1″, and third in the shot put with a throw of 32’1.25″. Lucy Vargas was second in the 1600m run at 14:08.88. Emersyn Herber finished fourth in the 200m dash at :27.77 and fifth in the 100m dash with a time of :13.43. Maddyn LeBrun was fourth in the javelin with a throw of 92’0″. Megan Geraets placed fiifth in the high jump at 4’2″. Reagan Griffin was fifth in the triple jump at 28’1.5″. Cami Wolles placed sixth in the 800m run in 2:42.62. Addison Libis finished sixth in the 300m hurdles with a time of :54.08. Jenna Miller was seventh in the 800m run at 2:43.64.
Gavin Pica took third in the discus with a throw of 112’0″. Jaxon Baumberger placed fifth in the 200m dash with a time of :25.08 and fifth jump at 5’8″. Camden Tebay was seventh in the 800m run at 2:18.27. The 4x100m relay team of Thomas LaVoy, Baumberger, Jake Kopsas, and Jacob Flemmer finished third. The 4x200m relay team of LaVoy, Baumberger, Kopsas, and Flemmer finished fourth.
