The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal track team had their second meet of the season at the Dakota Wesleyan University High School Open on Thursday, March 28th.
Elizabeth Vogel finished seventh in the 3000m run and 10th in the one-mile run. Brianna Griffin took seventh in the 400m dash and also finished ninth in the 200m dash. Emersyn Herber was 10th in the 200m dash. Reagan Griffin was 14th in the triple jump, and Megan Geraets took 14th in the high jump.
Lucas Flemmer won the 60m dash and the 400m dash. Camden Tebay was 10th in the 3000m run. Matt Heinemann was 11th in the 3000m run. Josh Liebel placed 15th in the 60m hurdles. The 4x400m relay of Logan Bauer, Jacob Flemmer, Jake Heinitz, and Thomas LaVoy placed 14th.
“The athletes did very well, they competed hard and improved on just about every mark from the first meet at Mt. Marty. I was very impressed with both the boys and girls teams and how well they did,” said head coach Ross Flemmer
