The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinals played in the Dakota Valley Conference tournament in White on Saturday, October 14th. St Mary faced Deubrook, De Smet, Iroquois/Lake Preston, and Oldham-Ramona Rutland finishing 1-3 for the day.
The Dolpins defeated the Cardinals in three sets by scores of 20-25, 25-20, and 25-20. Brianna Griffin had nine kills and 20 digs. Emy Herber finished with 10 kills and a block. Megan Geraets had eight kills. Brianna Lindeman had 30 set assists. Jenner Miller added 37 digs, and Jodie Klein had 15 digs. Jaycee Tebay had three blocks.
The Cardinals faced the De Smet Bulldogs for the second time in the week and won in straight sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-19. Griffin had seven kills and six digs. Tebay had six kills and 11 digs. Lindeman finished with 13 digs. Miller had 15 digs, and Klein had eight digs. Herber and Geraets both had two blocks each.
The Sharks took the match against St Mary in straight sets by scores of 25-23 and 25-16. Griffin led the team with 12 kills and 13 digs. Lindeman had 15 set assists. Miller had a team-high 20 digs, and Klein finished with nine digs.
The Raiders also defeated the Cardinals in straight sets by scores of 25-21 and 29-27. Griffin had six kills and 13 digs. Herber finished with three kills and two blocks. Lindeman had 16 set assists in the match. Miller finished with 20 digs. Klein had 21 digs. Tebay and Stephenie Geraets both had two blocks each.
