The De Smet Bulldogs, ranked second in class B boys basketball, flexed their muscles on Monday, December 19th against the Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinals. The Bulldogs started the game on a 12-0 run and never looked back in a 68-24 win.
The Bulldogs led 23-6 at the end of the first quarter and extended the lead to 43-13 by halftime. De Smet outscored St Mary 25-11 in the second half.
The Cardinals shot 23% (9-40) from the field, 14% (3-21) from three-point area, and 60% (3-5) from the free-throw line. The Bulldogs finished 48% (29-59) overall, 28% (7-25) from three-point area, and 43% (3-7) from the free-throw line.
Maverick LeBrun finished with seven points and four rebounds. Trevon Beckman addd five points and seven rebounds. Camden Gilbert also had five points. Lincoln LeBrun ended with four points and a rebound.
