Dell Rapids Fire-Rescue held an open house for the second year in a row on Saturday, October 6th at the Dell Rapids fire station. The open house helps kick off National Fire Prevention Week which is October 7th-13th. This year’s theme is “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware, fire can happen anywhere.”
During the open house, hot dogs, popcorn, and cake were served. Firetruck and ambulance tours were given. Parents and children were able to meet a firefighter, EMT, and a police officer, and a fire truck bouncy house was also there for the children to enjoy.
A nice turnout came to the fire station during the four-hour open house.
