Beresford Softball Three-Game Winning Streak Snapped

The Beresford Watchdogs had their three-game winning streak snapped by Tri-Valley in Sioux Falls on Monday, April 29th.  The Mustangs used a six-run fifth inning in their 11-1 victory.

After a scoreless first inning, the Mustangs scored a run in the top of the second.  They added three more runs in the top of the third for a 4-0 lead.  The Watchdogs scored their only run in the bottom of the third when Reese Olson had an RBI sacrifice fly.  Tri-Valley would add another run in the fourth before their six-run fifth inning.

Keely Merrigan, Ivy Keiser, and Harley Koth all had one hit in the game.  Olson finished with an RBI.  Rylie Laurvick pitched four innings and allowed five runs, four earned, on 10 hits and a walk with four strikeouts.  Merrigan pitched one inning and allowed six runs, but just one earned, on two hits and six walks.
