Late Rally Lifts FCM over Black Sox

Four runs late in the game gave Freeman/Canistota/Marion (FCM) a 4-1 win over the Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox on Wednesday, April 24th.

Ethan Bovill scored on a wild pitch in the top of the first inning to give the Black Sox a 1-0 lead.  The score remained 1-0 until the bottom of the fifth inning.  FCM scored two runs in the inning to take a 2-1 lead.  They added two more in the bottom of the sixth to extend the lead to 4-1.

Ashton Oberle finished with two singles.  Jace Adams had a double.  Bovill pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed four runs, one earned, on five hits with eight strikeouts.  Joseph Anderson pitched 1/3 of an inning.
