Black Sox Falls Short Against Parker

The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox held a one-run lead after the first inning, but Parker got the win 9-4 on Sunday, April 21st.

Parker scored a run in the top of the first inning.  Ethan Bovill scored on an error in the bottom of the first, and Jax Fickbohm had an RBI single to put the Black Sox in front 2-1.  That lead, however, was short lived.  Parker scored four times in the top of the second inning.  They added single runs in the third, fourth, and fifth innings for a 8-2 lead.  Jax Wurth had an RBI single, and Robert Watkins had an RBI groundout in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 8-4.  Parker added one more run in the sixth.

Kasen Voss had two singles.  Fickbohm and Wurth each had a single and an RBI.  Joseph Anderson finished with a double.  Ashton Oberle also had a single.  Watkins added an RBI.  Fickbohm pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed six runs, four earned, on three hits and five walks with three strikeouts.  Oberle pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed three earned runs on eight hits and one walk with three strikeouts.  Bovill threw one inning and allowed a hit with one strikeout.
