There Beresford/Alcester-Hudson 14U Black Sox ended their regular season with a 16-3 win over Lennox on Thursday, July 6th.
The Black Sox built a big lead in the first three innings. Lennox scored a run in the top of the first. The Black Sox, however, scored seven times in the bottom of the inning. They added three more in the bottom of the second and three in the third for a 13-1 lead. Another three runs came home in the bottom of the fifth. Lennox got two more runs in the top of the fifth.
Ashton Oberle had three hits, including a triple and double, with two RBIs. Evan Haak had two hits and three RBIs. Kasen Voss had two hits, one a double, and an RBI. Owen Serck had a hit and two RBIs. Cameron Mullinix and Cooper Landeen each had a hit. Voss pitched four innings and allowed an earned run on three hits and three walks with nine strikeouts. Ben Seeley pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed two unearned runs on six walks with four strikeouts.
