Bulldogs’ Season Ends at Garretson in 13-0 Defensive Battle

GARRETSON — Baltic’s season came to an end Thursday, October 22nd, as the Bulldogs dropped a 13-0 decision to Garretson in a 9AA playoff matchup.  Garretson scored twice in a span of less than two minutes in the first quarter, and that early burst proved to be the difference.

The Blue Dragons opened the scoring with 6:38 left in the first quarter, finishing their opening drive with a 13-yard touchdown pass. The extra point made it 7-0.

After Baltic was forced to punt on its first possession, Garretson struck again immediately. On the first play following the punt, the Blue Dragons connected on a 71-yard touchdown pass at the 4:57 mark. The PAT was no good, but Garretson had a 13-0 lead.

From there, the game turned into a defensive battle. Both teams’ defenses came up with multiple stops on downs in the second half, but neither side was able to turn those opportunities into points.

Baltic closes the year with a 4-5 overall record.
