The Baltic Bulldog volleyball team cruised to a straight-set win over the Canton C-Hawks at home on Monday, October 27th. The Bulldogs won by set scores of 23-12, 25-18, and 25-12.
Canton took a quick 3-0 lead to start the first set, but the lead did not last long. Baltic responded with a 6-1 run to go in front 6-4. They kept building on that lead throughout the set. The Bulldogs pushed the lead to 10-6, 15-9, and 19-10 before finishing on a 6-2 run.
The second set started with a 3-3 tie. The C-Hawks were able to keep close early. Baltic led 6-5 and then pushed the lead to 12-8. The Bulldogs followed that with a 4-0 run to extend the lead to 16-8. They were able to hold on to a five-to-seven point lead to a 25-18 victory.
Baltic opened the third set with a 5-1 run and kept rolling from there. They extended the lead to double digits, 13-3, and continued to hold a double-digit lead throughout the rest of the match. The Bulldogs led 16-6 and 21-10 before winning 25-12.
Baltic will finish the regular season at home against the Deubook Area Dolphins on Tuesday, October 28th.
