The Baltic Bulldog track team hosted the Big East Conference meet on Thursday, May 9th. The girls team finished fourth with 99 points. The boys team took second with 121 points.
Maiya Fredickson won the shot put with a throw of 36’6″ and finished second in the discus and sixth in the javelin. Daynica Witzel won the triple jump with a leap of 33’11.75″ and placed second in the long jump. Elizabeth Hockenberry finished third in the 1600m run. Emma Albright placed fourth in the 400m dash. Meredith Larson took fourth in the 3200m run. Baylee Breece finished fourth in the 300m hurdles. Kate Bouman was sixth in the 400m dash. Harper Kortemeyer placed seventh in the 300m hurdles and seventh in the high jump. Caitlyn Pickett took eighth in the discus and eighth in the javelin.
The 4x800m relay team of Sadey Holt, Hailey Tiahrt, Tenley Witzel, and Lexis Kehn won with a time of 10:05.98. The sprint medley relay team finished second. The 4x400m relay team finished fourth. The 4x200m relay team finished fifth, and the 4x100m relay team took seventh.
Payton Anderson finished second in the 200m dash, second in the 400m dash, and third in the 100m dash. Anderson’s time in the 400m dash of :58.15 set a school record. Cohen McGuire was second in the 110m hurdles and third in the 300m hurdles. Kellan Artz was second in the high jump. Jackson Goehring was fourth in the high jump. Gavin Miller had a fourth place finish in the triple jump. Jackson Westerbur finished fifth in the 200m dash and sixth in the 100m dash. Ben Berg finished fifth in the 300m hurdles and seventh in the 110m hurdles. Ben Erickson placed sixth in the 800m run. Henry Anderson placed seventh in the 100m dash. Kyle Gronewold was seventh in the 3200m run and eighth in the 1600m run. Garrett Wilkison took seventh in the 300m hurdles and eighth in the 110m hurdles. Braxten Allen was seventh in the long jump. Landen France placed eighth in the shot put and eighth in the javelin. Trevor Cuperus finished eighth in the discus.
The 4x200m relay team of Westerbur, Shae Fiala, Dylan Runestad, and Allen won with a time of 1:37.15. The 4x400m relay team and 4x100m relay teams finished second. The 4x800m relay and sprint medley relay teams placed third.
