The Baltic Bulldog girls basketball team lost a Big East Conference game at home to the Chester Flyers on Thursday, January 15th. The Flyers took the win 60-30.
Baltic had a 4-3 lead with 5:45 to play in the first quarter. Chester would finish the quarter on a 13-5 run to for a 16-9 lead at the end of the quarter. The Flyers would outscore the Bulldogs 17-8 in the second quarter to extend the lead to 33-17 at halftime. They would add 21 more points in third quarter and led 54-28 going into the fourth.
The Bulldogs shot 26% (10-38) from the field overall, 31% (5-16) on three-point shots, and 38% (5-13) from the free-throw line. Chester finished the game shooting 50% (24-48) overall, 42% (5-12) from three-point area, and 70% (7-10) from the free-throw line.
Kate Bouman had 12 points and three rebounds. Sadey Holt ended with six points and two rebounds. Harper Kortemeyer also had six points with an assist and a steal. Caitlyn Pickett ended with four points, three rebounds, and three assists.
