The Brookings Cubs cruised to a 15-2 win over the Baltic River Dawgs on Thursday, June 29th.
Brookings grabbed an early 1-0 lead with a run in the top of the first. They added three more in the top of the third. Baltic cut the lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the third, but that was as close as they could get. The Cubs got two runs in the fourth, one in the fifth, and another in the sixth to extend the lead to 8-1. The River Dawgs got a run in the bottom of the sixth. Brookings put the game away with seven runs in the top of the seventh, and the game ended on the 10-run rule.
Kooper Perry and Brycen Top both had a hit and an RBI. Noah Hammond had a single. Matt White pitched four innings and allowed six earned runs on seven hits and two walks and eight strikeouts.
