The Baltic 17U baseball team lost in their last two games. They fell to Parker on Thursday, June 26th and Sioux Falls Christian on Friday, June 27th.
Parker 15, Baltic 14
Parker put eight runs on the board in the bottom of the seventh to steal a 15-14 win over Baltic. Baltic scored the first seven runs. They got two in the first, two in the third, and three in the fifth. Parker got two runs back in the bottom of the fifth. Each team had a big sixth inning, both scoring five runs each. Baltic led 12-7 going into the final inning. Baltic scored two times to go ahead 14-7, but Parker rallied for the come-from-behind win.
Jackson Goehring had five hits, one a double, and four RBIs. Alex Hockenberry added a double and two RBIs. Elias Oakley had a single and an RBI. Joey Grunewaldt and Brody Hansen had a single and an RBI. Cale Roach had a single, and Ryder Siemonsma had an RBI.
Sioux Falls Christian 11, Baltic 3
Sioux Falls Christian scored in every inning but the first to an 11-3 win. Baltic got a run in the bottom of the first for a 1-0 lead. Sioux Falls Christian took the lead with two runs in the top of the second and added two more in the third for a 4-1 lead. Baltic got a run back in the bottom of the third to cut the lead in half, 4-2. Sioux Falls Christian kept their offense rolling. They scored a run in the fourth, four in teh fifth, one in the sixth, and another in the seventh. Baltic’s third run came in the bottom of the fifth.
Goehring had two hits, one a triple. Isaac Oakley added a single.
