The Baltic track team traveled to Chester for the Chester Invitational on Tuesday, April 15th. The boys team won the team title with 144 points. The girls team finished second with 113 points.
Sadey Holt took first place in the 3200m run with a time of 14:02.77. Daynica Witzel won the long jump (15’4.5″) and also won the triple jump (32’8.5″). Hailey Tiahrt was second in the 400m dash in 1:01.57 and placed third in the 800m run in 2:29.76. Maiya Fredrickson placed second in the shot put with a throw of 36’5.25″ and finished third in the discus with a throw of 100’10”. The 4x800m relay team of Holt, Tenley Witzel, Meredith Larson, and Tiahrt took second in 10:35.88. The sprint medley relay team of Holly Olson, Kate Bouman, Emma Albright, and Larson also took second with a time of 5:03.87. Elise Wilde placed third in the triple jump with a jump of 29’11”.
Henry Anderson won the 200m dash in 23:83 and placed third in the 100m dash in :11.78. Dylan Runestand placed first in the 400m dash with a team of :52.20. Cooper Garry won both the 800m run (2:05.77) and the 1600m run (4:43.09). Kellan Artz took the top spot in the high jump at 6’2″. Gavin Miller won the long jump with a leap of 18’4″ and finished third in the triple jump at 38’11.5″. The 4x400m relay team of Runestad, Ben Erickson, Garry, and Ben Berg won with a time of 3:38.59. Runestad placed second in the 200m dash in :23.83. Berg was second in the 300m hurdles with a time of :44.21 and third in the 110m hurdles in :17.75. Trevor Cuperus was second in the shot put with a threw of 38’0″. The 4x200m relay team of Runestad, Miller, Berg, and Anderson finished third in 1:35.02.
