Season Ends for Bulldog Girls in Region 3A Tournament

The Baltic Bulldog girls had their season come to an end in Hartford in the opening round of the Region 3A Tournament on Tuesday, February 25th.  The West Central Trojans advanced to the next round with a 70-22 victory.

After an early 3-3 tie score, the Trojans finished the first quarter by outscoring Baltic 20-5 for a 23-8 lead.  The West Central defensive pressure cause some problems for the Bulldogs, and the Trojans extended their lead to 44-16 by halftime.  They would outscore Baltic 26-6 in the final two quarters.

Baltic finished the game shooting 26% (8-31) overall, 3-14 on three-point attempts, and 3-6 from the free-throw line.  West Central shot 44% (27-61) overall, 29% (6-21) from three-point area, and 10-11 from the free-throw line.

Harper Kortemeyer had six points and five rebounds in the game.  Kate Bouman also had six points with five assists, two rebounds, and two steals.  Caitlyn Pickett added five points and seven rebounds.  Meredith Larson also had five points with three rebounds.

The Bulldogs finished the season with a 5-16 overall record.
