Baltic Boys Even Record with Win over McCook Central/Montrose

The Baltic Bulldog boys evened their record to 6-6 after a 50-36 win over the McCook Central/Montrose Cougars in Montrose on Tuesday, January 28th.

The Cougars had an early three-point lead with 6:41 to go in the first quarter.  Baltic, however, took the lead later in the quarter and held a 16-13 advantage at the end of the quarter.  The Bulldogs had a big second quarter.  They outscored the Cougars 13-2 to take a 29-15 lead into halftime.  The Bulldogs were able to maintain their lead throughout the rets of the game.  They had a game-high 19-point lead with 5:53 to go in the game.

Baltic shot 38% (19-50) overall in the game, 33% (4-12) on three-point shots, and 80% (8-10) from the free-throw line.  McCook Central/Montrose shot 26% (14-54) overall, 20% (4-20) on three-point attempts, and 40% (4-10) from the free-throw line.

Kelln Artz finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.  Ben Erickson had 12 points and three rebounds.  Dylan Runestad also ended in double figures with 11 points and five rebounds.  Trevor Cuperus added seven points and four rebounds.
