Chester Takes Advantage of Tough First Half for Baltic Girls

The Chester Flyers took advantage of a tough first half by the Baltic Bulldogs on Thursday, January 16th.  The Bulldogs only scored eight first half points, and the Flyers used that to help them to a 54-36 win.

Chester put 26 points on the board in the first quarter while holding Baltic to just three.  The Flyers continued to extend their lead in the second quarter.  Chester outscored Baltic 15-5 for a 41-8 halftime lead.  Baltic was able to get going offensively in the second half.  The Bulldogs outscored the Flyers 14-10 in the third quarter to cut the lead to 51-22.  Baltic had a strong fourth quarter outscoring Chester 14-3, but the first half deficit was too much to overcome.

Harper Kortemeyer had 14 points and seven rebounds.  Meredith Larson added seven points, seven rebounds, and two assists.  Caitlyn Pickett also had seven points with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Kate Bouman had six points and four assists.
